So that was a full day.

It went like this:

• ~12:00pm wake up.
• 1:00pm shower.
• 2:00pm lunch, Burgerville, review pages of One Day in the Future.
• 3:00pm meeting with the crew of Martha's upcoming short film Devotion, which I've agreed to help out as a last-minute AD on.
• 4:30pm Big Fan with Cassie and Jim, Q&A with Patton Oswalt after.

There's this image I just couldn't shake, it was so gorgeous. I don't know if I can do it justice. I wouldn't get all worked up just yet, but unless there's some missing additional audio tracks for scene 3, I finished syncing all the rushes to Closing Time and laid down a really rough, slightly sloppy assembly of the first half of scene 2 (one of the trickier and more challenging scenes to edit). Hm. The good news tonight is, progress was made, but more of an "on-paper" kind of progress. Through talking with Russ and troubleshooting the situation, I think I've more or less figured out a loose course of action and workflow for properly post-producing Amnesia Hotel's picture (and I've made the final call: we are officially 100% at picture ( Read more... )
